Walks around Grosmont

What better way to see and enjoy the countryside and moors around Grosmont than on foot.

There are several circular walks of varying length available from Grosmont, as well as easy access by train or car to many other nearby walks.

Walk out of Grosmont on an ancient Monks Trod through a bluebell wood to the smallest 17th century pub you will have seen at Beck Hole, then return on the trail of an old railway line set up by George Stephenson.

The rail trail also has wheelchair access.

The Esk Valley walk also passes through Grosmont which again is a perfect stop over for this walk.

Grosmont is also on the Wainwright coast to coast route; 192 miles from St. Bees in Cumbria to nearby Robin Hoods Bay. Grosmont is the ideal stop off point before the final stage to Bay. Several companies do baggage transfers or organise a full accommodation package and can arrange a guided walk.
